All is not well at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) months after the tumultuous 8 August general elections and equally divisive repeat presidential polls conducted on 26 October.
According to reports appearing on Corridors of Power, IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati flatly refused to board the same flight to Israel with the IEBC Director Voter Registration and Elections Operations Immaculate Kassait.
Wafula was reportedly so miffed with the inclusion of the IEBC Director Voter Registration and Elections Operations on the trip to Israel that he ordered the removal of her name from the traveling party.
Kassait was among the IEBC officers who the National Super Alliance (NASA) wanted barred from conducting the 26 October repeat presidential polls.
Others officers accused of abetting voter rigging by NASA were:
Ezra Chiloba (Commission Secretary and CEO)
Betty Nyabuto – Deputy Commission Secretary (Operations)
James Muhati, Director ICT
Praxedes Tororey-Director Legal and Public Affairs
Moses Kipkogey-Manager Legal Department and Advisor to the CEO.
