Outspoken Makadara MP George Aladwa becomes the latest NASA legislators to be arrested in a sustained clampdown on legislators who took part in the oathing of Raila Odinga as the ‘People’s President’.
According to a tweet shared by Dennis Onsarigo, the legislators was arrested from his Buruburu home and driven to unknown destination. His arrest follows that of Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang’ and former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Miguna Miguna a day after, for administering an unlawful oath on NASA leader Raila Odinga as the ‘People’s President’.

Both were released on a cash bail of kshs50,000 although Miguna Miguna may end up spending the weekend in police cells.
Interior CS Fred Matiang’i vowed to bring to justice all participants of the unlawful swearing in ceremony of Raila Odinga. NTV, Citizen TV and KTN News were shut down by the Communications Authority for covering the event.
